Double Suicide in Jamtara Forest: Man and Woman Found Dead, Poison Suspected
Dumka: Bodies of a man and a woman were found in Jeetpur forest of Jamtara district on Saturday, police said. The deceased were identified as Sagen Hembrom, 30, a resident of Bodma village under Mihijam police station limits, and Malti Murmu, 25, of Maheshpur under West Bengal’s Salanpur police station limits. Police said Hembrom was married.Locals spotted the bodies and informed the police. Subsequently, officer in-charge (OC) of Mihijam police station, Pradeep Rana, reached the spot with his team.Police have initiated the process of sending the bodies for post-mortem examination to the Sadar hospital in Jamtara.Police said that a bottle of poison was found near the bodies indicating that it could be a case of an affair and alleged suicide. “Further probe is on,” said Rana.
